Curriculum

The professional course program of Teacher Education Program includes both required and elective subjects. Education foundation courses, Teaching Methodology Curriculum, and Teaching Field Experience and Teaching Materials and Methods are all established in accordance with Ministry of Education regulations.

Curriculum design and development must meet the teaching goals and core competencies set by this Center, in conjunction with the university’s education goals. In regard to Professionalism, the Center improves teacher education students’ professional capability and disposition, emphasizing responsible spirit and attitude, strengthening curriculum design and instruction abilities, and fostering good class management and counseling. As to Excellence, the program nurtures students’ behavior and attitude as teachers and mentors, enhances students’ characteristics as professional educators, and strengthens students in research development and advanced study. To promote Internationalization, the Center expects students to improve English proficiency, and fosters global views through setting up an international learning environment.

Core competencies nurtured through the program include cultivating students to be teachers with professional ability, improving students to be mentors in both capacity and disposition, and emphasizing relationship with groups and self.
